Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Business, Technology & Innovation Studies Journal (BTISJ) welcomes original, high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in business, technology, innovation, sustainability, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, supply chain management, and related interdisciplinary fields.

Manuscript Types

BTISJ accepts the following types of submissions:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Conceptual Papers
  • Case Studies
  • Short Communications
  • Book Reviews

Manuscript Preparation

Authors must prepare manuscripts using the official BTISJ Manuscript Template available on the journal website.

Submissions should include:

  • Title of the manuscript
  • Author names and affiliations
  • ORCID IDs (where available)
  • Abstract (150–250 words)
  • 4–6 keywords
  • Main text
  • References
  • Tables and figures (embedded within the manuscript)

Formatting Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.
  • References should follow APA style.
  • Tables and figures must be clearly numbered and cited within the text.
  • Authors should ensure that manuscripts are professionally written and proofread prior to submission.

Ethical Standards

BTISJ follows internationally recognized publication ethics standards. Authors must ensure that:

  • The submission is original and has not been published elsewhere.
  • The manuscript is not under consideration by another journal.
  • All authors have approved the submission.
  • Proper citation and acknowledgement of sources are provided.
  • Any conflicts of interest are disclosed.

Data Availability

Authors are encouraged to provide a Data Availability Statement describing whether the data supporting the findings are publicly available, available upon reasonable request, or restricted due to ethical or legal considerations.

Funding and Conflict of Interest

Authors should clearly disclose all funding sources and any potential conflicts of interest.

Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's online submission system.

Before submission, authors are encouraged to review the journal's policies regarding copyright, licensing, publication ethics, and privacy.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

BTISJ is an open-access journal and currently charges no submission fees or article processing charges (APCs).
